My Story

I'm Gilbert Miller owner of GTB outdoors LLC. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, I joined the US Army in 1993 and after 21 years of service I retired in 2014 and settled down in Midlothian Texas. I have been fishing all my life and a frequent hunter. I am an avid tournament angler and have competed in the local level all the way up to the professional series for over 20 years. I currently volunteer as the president and coach of Midlothian Fishing Team, which comprise of students grade 6th thru 12th. As a professional fishing guide and coach I use the skills, and training techniques I've learned from my 21 years of military service. I have become well-known and respected in the DFW area. I have developed my own unique training methods, all aimed at developing preparation, observation, and execution skills for competing against the best. I believe that a rigorous training system and time on the water not only develops physical strength, but also the mental stamina required to compete at the highest levels of the game and in life. At GTB OUTDOORS, I keep up with the latest techniques, methods, and equipment in order to consistently push my anglers at becoming the best they can be.
